ReykjaDoom presents: Bongripper live in Iceland.  

The instrumental doom metal band was founded in Chicago 18 years ago. Legends say that after a broken double bass pedal and the departure of their singer, the band turned away from death metal and embraced the heaviness of doom.  

Their first album is a single 79 min track called "The Great Barrier Reefer" which gained a cult status for doom metal fans. With a few more albums conceived, their audience grew considerably with their 2010 album "Satan Worshipping Doom" and since then performed at some of the most respected metal festivals, including Roadburn, Hellfest and Psycho Las Vegas.  

They have released seven albums with the eight one in development. The albums, as well as the tracks, usually feature tongue in cheek names such as "Hippie Killer", "Her Highness", "Reefer Sutherland", "Hate Ashbury" to name a few.

Their live performances are a force of nature. Strong atmosphere, amps turned to 11, and impeccable performances from the quartet; no one will leave disappointed.

Supporting bands are the local bands Morpholith and Slor. Morpholith are a momentum of sonic meltdown, known for their powerful live performances.  Slor are a power house of amp worshipping doom that has never failed to overwhelm its audiences with their tight live shows.

The event will take place at the heart of the Icelandic underground scene, Gaukurinn, on the 26th of October. This is a night not to be missed for metal fans, music lovers and people that hate their hearing.
