A Saudi Arabian love story; he‘s a municipal civil servant from Jeddah of humble origin, she’s a wild beauty, the adopted daughter of a rich couple and their only heir. He’s an amateur actor in a theatre company rehearsing for a production of Hamlet, she‘s a video blogger and an outspoken Instagram star, whose video messages of female empowerment have amassed her millions of followers. They meet by chance – but meeting again proves problematic in a country that frowns upon dating of any kind.

The film had its international premiere at last year‘s Berlinale where it won an award in the Forum sidebar. The film was Saudi Arabia‘s submission to the Best Foreign Language Film Oscars.
