News reporter Christine Chubbuck committed suicide on air in 1974 – the first televised suicide in history. More than 40 years later actress Kate Lyn Sheil is supposed to play Christine in a low-budget film, but she finds information about her subject surprisingly hard to come by. Who was Christine and what were her reasons for this drastic act? We follow Kate‘s preparation as she investigates Christine‘s life as the two slowly start to meld into one character.

The film won the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Writing at last year‘s Sundance Film festival.
