A severed foot is found in a lake just as Roman, a young man from the city, comes to rural Romania. He inherited land from his grandfather and intends to sell it, but the problem is that his grandfather was a vicious crime lord and his former underlings have no intention of giving up the land they have been free to commit heinous crimes on for so long. The Romanian Deliverance could be an apt description of this clash of the urban and the rural.

The film won the FIPRESCI award in the Un Certain Regard sidebar at Cannes last year and also won two awards at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
