MIGOS, one of the biggest hip hop artists in the world, has confirmed their show in Iceland and will perform in Laugardalshöll on August 16th, joined by two support acts which will be announced at a later time. Fans can expect a legendary evening of pure hip hop!
Members Quavo, Takeoff and Offset got together in 2009 and released their first mixtape, Juug Season, in 2011. Their first big hit, „Versace“, released on mixtape Y.R.N. (Yung Rich Niggas) in 2013, was found on many of the biggest music top-lists, including Rolling Stone, SPIN, Complex and Pitchfork. The song caught the attention of rapper Drake which released a remix on his 2013 album. Ever since then, their fame has been on the rise and they’ve had a chance to working with the likes of Young Thug, Gucci Mane, Drake, Metro Boomin, Meek Mill, Soulja Boy, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Post Malone, DJ Mustard, Katy Perry og DJ Khaled.
In October 2016, Migos released the single “Bad and Boujee” with Lil Uzi Vert which ascended to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and has now been nominated as Best Rap Collaboration and Best Rap Song at the Billboard Music Awards. It was the first release from their sophomore set, Culture, which was released in January this year, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200.
Only 4.000 tickets are available on 9.990 kr. each. The hall is a standing-room only. The concert has no age limit. However, alcoholic beverages will be sold in specific bar areas with an age limit of 20 years, IDs are required. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM.
