The Swedish Zara Larsson will bring her powerhouse voice and soulful electro-pop to Laugardalshöll on Friday, October 13th. Daði Freyr will open for Zara. The people of Iceland recently lost it's heart to his song "Is It Love?" which was a part of the national Eurovision Song Competition.
Zara Larsson’s popularity has been on the rise and she already has an impressive amount of singles under her belt, counting a few hundred million plays on Youtube and Spotify, such as “Lush Life”, “Never Forget You”, and “So Good”.
Zara first caught the public's eyes in 2008 as the winner of the popular Swedish talent show Talang Sverige (the regional version of Got Talent). She signed with Ten Music Group after winning Talang, and issued her debut EP, Introducing, which featured the hit single “Uncover”, in 2013. The song was certified triple-platinum in Sweden and hit the top lists all over Scandinavia. 1 is the name of her official debut released in 2014, which included songs like “Bad Boys”. Three additional singles reached the Swedish Top Ten: “She's Not Me”, “Carry You Home”, and “Rooftop”. “Lush Life” proved to be her international breakthrough followed by “Never Forget You” (featuring MNEK) which made the 13th place on Billboard Hot 100. “So Good” featured Ty Dolla Sign and other singles followed featuring artists such as Ed Sheeran and Clean Bandit.
The talented Swedish vocalist has also worked with well known artists such as Tinie Tempah („Girls Like“) and David Guetta who wrote the official song for the UEFA European Championship in 2016; „This One‘s for You“.
