DesignTalks is a day filled with inspirational talks by international designers, architects and creative thought leaders. It is the opening event of DesignMarch and for its tenth anniversary DesignTalks will be celebrating design’s power and potential to contribute to every aspect of society. Lifting our gaze towards the future we present a wide spectrum of speakers on current topics and challenges, shedding light on the power of design to tackle them and how we can all move forward together.

Outstanding architects and designers from around the world inspire DesignTalks 2018:
Bea Szenfeld – Fashion Designer and Artist, Anton & Irene – Interactive Design Duo, Kaave Pour – Design Manager and Founder Space10, Andreas Martin-Löf – Architect, Daisy Ginsberg – Designer and Writer, Arctic Design Group – Landscape Architects and civilians, Tekla Severin – photographer and stage designer, Marjan Van Aubel – solar designer, Matylda Krzykowski – designer and curator, Henrik Vibskov – fashion designer, Steinþór Kári Kárason - architect and Björn Steinar Blumenstein & Johanna Seelemann - designers.

DesignTalks 2018 will be Moderated by Hlín Helga Guðlaugsdóttir, DesignTalks Curator who will be joined by returning speaker, Paul Bennett, Chief Creative Officer, IDEO, one of the world’s foremost design companies.

DesignTalks is a unique event for enthusiasts of the latest trends in design and architecture. The lecture program is intended to provide business, government, public and design professionals with inspiration for cooperation and progress.

The DesignTalks event is organized by the Icelandic Design Center in collaboration with Arion Bank and Reykjavík City.
