BECOME – AND REMAIN – READY FOR THE NEW UPCOMING GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) WITHOUT

USING MORE RESOURCES THAN NECESSARY

Danish law firm CLEMENS LLP and the Danish software vendor Impero A/S will host this conference on 1 sst of February 2018. Tthe focus of the conference is to demonstrate how to deal with the upcoming GDPR in practice.

CLEMENS and Impero are helping several clients (mostly large Danish companies) handle the new requirements arising from the GDPR without using more internal and external resources than necessary.

NEW LEGAL REQUIREMENTS AS THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION ACT COMES INTO FORCE ON MAY 25 TH 2018.

On May 25, 2018, new legislation on the processing of personal data will come into force. The new legislation introduces a number of new requirements for processing personal data and also implies a significantly increased risk of sanctions, when violating the rules, including fines up to EUR 20 million or equivalent to 4% of a company’s global turnover. In addition to the risk of fines, companies will face significant other risks (damage to reputation, reduced customer or other business partner’s confidence, etc.) and pressure from different actors who will use the new legislation to promote their agenda, e.g. unions using the GDPR as leverage against employers or competitors filing anonymous complaints.

Many companies face great challenges to become ready for May 25, 2018 and to handle the new rules in the coming years.

To help these customers, Impero and CLEMENS have collaborated on a solution that, in a simple and pragmatic way, helps the customer get ready to handle the new rules without using more internal and external resources than necessary.
