Elektra Ensemble will celebrate the New Year with a programme dedicated to well known songs performed by superb singers, soprano Hallveig Rúnarsdóttir and tenor Gissur Páll Gissurarson, both winners of Iceland Music Awards’ Singer of the Year. We will hear songs by George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein from their famous musicals Porgy and Bess and West Side Story as well as fiery and passionate tangoes from Argentina by Carlos Gardel and Astor Piazzolla.
