The Reykjavík City Band's first concert this year will take place in Kaldalón concert hall in Harpa, Reykjavík on February 24th. The concert program includes various music, such as Conquest of Paradise by Vangelis, Dance of the Selkies by Alex Poelman, In the mystic land of Egypt by the english composer Albert Ketelbe and songs from the musical Lés Miserables. The band is composed of both amateur and professional musicians, and is Iceland's oldest windband, founded in year 1922. Reykjavík City Band's conducter is Lárus Halldór Grímsson. Ticket price: 2.500 ISK, children 0-16 years: free of charge. The concert starts at 3.00 PM. Welcome.
