Pétur Ben is an award winning composer and singer-songwriter hailing from Reykjavik. His album Wine For My Weakness won the Icelandic Music Award for Best Rock album and his recent work for Ragnar Bragason’s Metalhead won the Edda Award for best film score. His music ranges from delicate minimal folk songs to Black Metal. He has written music for chamber ensembles and choirs and is the conductor of KÓRUS the notorious choir/collective of Reykjavik creatives. Working as producer, arranger and guitar player his list of collaborators include Shahzad Ismaily, Nick Cave, Mugison, Amiina and Emiliana Torrini. Pétur is currently working on his next solo album with Helgi Jónsson and other celestial beings.
